Doctors
MBBS/MD or equivalent, home registration, specialist credentials for higher grades. QCHP registration is mandatory before practising in any Qatari facility.
Nurses
BSc/GNM Nursing, active registration, relevant clinical experience. QCHP registration required.
Allied Health Professionals
Recognised qualification in your allied-health discipline, QCHP registration under the matching category.

Licensing & Requirements
One authority, one managed process
Licensing Authority
QCHP, now officially the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP) since its 2026 restructure — both names refer to the same body.
Requirements
- Recognised degree in the relevant field
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- Active licence in home country
- English proficiency (IELTS or OET preferred)
Recruitment & Licensing Process
- DataFlow Primary Source Verification — mandatory for every applicant since January 2026, no exceptions
- Pass the QCHP/DHP Prometric exam
- Apply for licensing with a local sponsoring employer
